As founding principal of Foreshew Design Associates Inc, Alex takes great pride in both the work of his firm and his team collective. He is dedicated to creating extraordinary projects that are influenced by a relaxed lake lifestyle blended with an active mountain culture.
With several years of experience, Alex strongly believes a foundation of on-site construction experience mixed with a healthy knowledge of architectural style, aesthetics and creativity breeds excellence in design. Alex’s work ethic, motivation to push the boundaries and positive attitude towards change ensure FDA’s clients receive the best service imagined when it comes to planning and designing their project.

Originally from London Ontario Kate moved to Muskoka in 2016 and has since fallen in love with the relaxed, beautiful, lake shore lifestyle and all the architecture intertwined within it. With a Bachelor of Interior Design Honours degree Kate has a thorough understanding of how architectural structure, floor plans and interior finish choices must be a harmonized marriage of aesthetics and functionality to achieve a well-executed design. Kate is an active member of the Association of Registered Interior Design (ARIDO) and is continuously learning and seeking out new materials and design techniques.

Local to Muskoka region John has a valuable insight to the area and can help clients navigate through township bylaws and regulations. With over 20 years of experience in the architecture/construction field John brings a wealth of building code knowledge. His qualifications include structural, HVAC, septic and plumbing design. He understands all aspects of building permit process required for clients to move forward with their construction project. With this foundation John has learned to execute FDA projects with a balance between strong visual architecture and structural compatibility in an efficient manner.

Following his passion and desire for an outdoor lifestyle James moved to Muskoka in 2017 after graduating from the Architectural Technology program at Sheridan College. James was intrigued not only by all his fishing spot possibilities but also by the variety of architectural styles and sense of community in the area. His passion for architecture comes from his combined interests of science and art. Always striving for excellence, his strong foundation and understanding of building science, building technical design and construction plays an important role here at FDA.
James Suttak Project Designer
Originally from the East Coast Benjamin pursued his passion for design at Ryerson University where he graduated with a bachelor’s degree in architectural science. His studies in Toronto provided him a strong foundation in construction and architectural conceptualization. Moving to Muskoka from the city Benjamin has enjoyed the change in scenery and loves the new opportunities for photography and other activities in the great outdoors. At FDA Benjamin works enthusiastically with the team to visualize and communicate fresh ideas. His understanding of the dynamics of architectural space and his desire to enhance the lives of clients through meaningful design makes him a strong addition to the team.

Born and raised in Northern Ontario Allyson grew up in the heart of cottage country. She is a skilled interior designer who brings a perfect mix of artistic flair and technical know-how to the table. Graduating with a Bachelor of Interior Design Honours degree Allyson takes pride in a well thought-out design strategy. She looks at plans from the inside out and how each space should function and harmonize with one another. Her impeccable taste, experience and education in design and construction make her a great addition to the FDA team!
